It should be fine if you'd just like a simple point and shoot camera without doing anything too high tech with it. Nikons have a good line, so I think you'll be pleased with the results. It's not something you can start a photography career out of, but it's better than most cameras. But be careful before ordering, because you have a site with refurbished products, meaning they've been returned for some reason and fixed up by the company. Most of the time it's fine (I purchased a photo printer from there and it's been great so far) but some people have run into problems such as the cameras suddenly breaking or the LCD not working. It's ok. I'd still recommend sticking with Canon in that price range. Nikon makes excellent dSLRs but from everything I've seen, their point and shoots have gone down hill.
