My boyfriend of 2 years planned to go up into another state to hang out with his buddies on my birthday. He says stuff like "oh ill call you so much on your bday" but i feel really sad and upset, what should i do?

Is your birthday already over? If not, plan a night out with your friends, have fun and enjoy your birthday. Not having him around doesn't mean you can't have a good time. I understand you'll get upset, i would too if that happened to me, but you'll get over that feeling soon (hopefully). Bottomline is, I suggets you try to enjoy your birthday as much as possible...with or without your boyfriend. Get out and have fun with friends...that's better than sulking alone at home.Ü

I guess it depends. If these guys had it planned for a long time and it was the only weekend they could all get off together, then probably not.
But, most likely I would be upset. You've been together for two years, so he should have considered your birthday before making plans with his friends. Do you feel he is serious about you? Do you want to marry him? I'd bring these things up with him and tell him you are hurt by his inconsiderate behavior. Tell him he can make it up to you by taking you on a really fabulous trip when he gets back.

:( I feel for you...I don't know how I'd deal with that if I was in that situation...but I mean, if you trust him completely and aren't being paranoid, thinking that he's with someone else...then have a girl party and forget about his *** for that night! I wouldn't even pick up the phone when he calls that day either...then the next time you talk, if he asks why you didn't pick up..say that he already hurt your feelings enough by deserting you..and you didn't want to have to feel that way on YOUR SPECIAL DAY! have fun girl..you only get one day a year to have ALL the attention and do whatever you please! Well maybe, it depends did he have a choice to go to another state to see his friends on a different day? if so then he wasn't being a good bf to you. But if your birthday is the only time he could see them you shouldnt be upset just talk to him on the phone and he'll probablly want to make it up to you on a different day or something if not...dump him he wouldnt be worth your time.

is it very seldom that they get together ? did he plan the time or is that the only time the gang can get together ?
I would say if it is something he can only do that week becasue he is working around other peoples Scheduale let it go. Tell him he owes you and that it is going to cost him .... than set some rules like the next weekend he does allthe cooking and don't forget your footrub..... have fun with it

If he is leaving you alone on your birthday to see his friends then he isn't much of a good boyfriend. If I were in this situation I would just not think about him, but think about the people that care about me enough to come to my party. Happy b-day.

Make plans to go out with your girlfriends for a night on the town. And try not to be depressed about him not being there, he is off having fun, why shouldn't you be?!

yea... i'll be upset 2... but dont get him upset about it cause then he might be thinkin that ur makin him choose between u or him friends... ((it should be u cause every girl ((most girls)) wants 2 be first)) he might have somethin planned 4 u before the trip or maybe even after it!

must you really have to ask someone if you should be mad your boyfriend sounds tricky i dont trust the sound of dat i would tell his *** to stay or i would go with him cause why is dis dude chillin with his homies on your birthday bull$hit
