I had the same operation, ganglion cyst left wrist...it was sensitive to touch and itched, etc for about a year after the surgery. I don't even notice it all now. You may try rubbing it with lotion and such. I found that the more I rubbed it the better it felt. Maybe the nerves needed to relearn what was normal.

You have 2 separate things going on here---the flu shot (and maybe the lymph node which could be just a normal exaggerated reaction to a vaccination) and the rash/knee symptoms. Now that I would get looked at because there are some specific illness that are known for rash & joint involvement that you definitely do not want to miss--like Lyme's. Take some motrin & put a hot pack on the armpit for comfort.

It is bound to be itchy that is part of the healing process, take some "baking soda" I say this rather than other methods for infection sake, add water and make a paste out of it. Gather and rub to apply gently not to irritate where stitches are/were, allow to dry and repeat often as needed.

Good-Luck,
Summer

It may go away, it could be a healing itch of nerves or something.
