Whats the price of Taxi's in LA?

Im going to California this saturday what are the prices from LAX (the airport) to like the closest mall and how much it would cost to go to the beach? im just looking for a rough figure? like how much from the Airport to the beach and or mall? Also what places do you recomend im only there from my plane gets in at 2:45PM and leaves at 11:00PM so im hoping to be back at the airport by 9:00 - 9:30.

taxis are pretty expensive leaving Lax
as the minimum fare starts AT $15.00 just to leave the airport
+2.50 surcharge
plus
$2.65 Flag drop (First 1/7th mile).

2. $0.35 For each additional 1/7th mile ($2.45 per mile).

3. $0.35 For each 47.5 seconds waiting time and/or traffic delay ($26.53 per hour).
instead
you can take local transit, there are some malls
within a 1/2 hour bus ride of Lax,
from Lax, you go the center island,
look for the blue and white sign "Lax Shuttle"
board the LOT C bus that bus will take you to the City Bus center
where you can take either a Santa Monica Big Blue Bus #3
(cost is 75cents) to Santa Monica, (Santa Monica Place and the 3rd street Promenade ) that bus runs about every 15 minutes
1/2 hour on the weekends if you get off at 4th/Colorado
you are only 3 blocks from the beach and the pier.
or you can take the Culver city (Green Bus) to the either
Howard Hughes center or the Fox Hills Mall
the Culver bus runs also about every 12- to 15mintunes
cost is the same as Blue Bus (75cents)
