Dog's eyeball is slightly rolled back?

I just noticed this evening my dog's left eye was very slightly rolled up. The iris was still visible, as in its not all white, but it was moved up slightly. He's still responding with the eye, as in he seems to see if you snap your finger's in front of it. The other eye is fine. I'm hoping it's just something irritating it? His behavior is perfectly normal. It's too late to take him to the vet right now (9pm) so I plan to take him first thing in the morning. I hope that will be alright. Any ideas? Thanks very much.

Is the dog old? If so It's age effecting him. Hope all is alright with Ur dog.
