Has anyone tried the new windows software? I read that the excel is good, and the windows program is more virus-resistant. But I have not read any comments on whether or not vista is any good, or just a pricey program.

Linux operating systems are excellent. Try out one of the free distributions. My favorite is UBUNTU. You can download it, or order a CD, at

You will also get all the software, that you will ever need, FREE - See

Ive heard its very good and is alot like the Mac OS but i have also heard that it has alot of bugs and that microsoft is already planning to come out with the first service pack. I recently bought a dell and i get a free upgrade and im waiting for them to ship it.

all ive heard so far are driver issues .. system hog, and intrusive "protection" measures designed to protect media copyrights more than the user ... but it has a pretty interface ... no one will know the true answer to how good it is for a few more weeks or months ...
