That would be quite embarrassing for not only him but everyone else there. It would retract from their joy of being home to see their families. I don't think the MP's would throw you in jail unless your husband wanted to pursue it but it's a possibility they will be called and question the both of you. Just take the higher road and not show up at all because I know this will hurt him more than anything. Additionally, you will still have your dignity with the other soldiers and family members in the rare case that the two of you stay together.
Good luck.

How the hell did he embarrass you? He cheated on you. Did he go around telling all your friends? No. You did. You embarrassed you. All you had to do was tell him to go to hell like I told my ex and be done with it. Yeah, it sucls a$$ that he did that and he will get his but dont do that crap. He's gonna be coming home with other MP's. Dont take their moments away and cause a scene just because your holding a grudge. Kick his *** when he gets home. If you want to embarrass him, call your friends over, call his over. Dont be disrespectful to the others that are serving. How old are we?

I'm not sure what happened between the two of you, but obviously something happened to make you so upset. I'm sorry to hear that. You could talk to him about it in neutral territory when you're calm (and in the presence of a mediator who is not a close friend or relative of either of you) or you could slap him with divorce papers and keep your nose clean. Otherwise, he might use every indescretion against you in court proceedings.

Has he actually cheated on you? If he has you know he can get in big trouble for that. Does he want to leave you? Is he in constant commo with this other person? But if it is a simple emotional attachment, I wouldnt do a single thing about it. He is CHOOSING to be with you if he has been with you for 8 years. It is possible to love 2 people at the same time, but if he wants to be with you, as it appears he does, then I would leave it alone. If he wants to leave you for her, then let it go...it doesnt make you a better person to get violent, especially at a welcome home ceremony. If you dont want to welcome him with open arms, then dont go.
But I did see a service member come home to his wife (who had cheated) at our last welcome home ceremony and knocked her to the ground because she cheated. They just pulled him back for a little cooling off and nothing happened. Double standard though...in their mind, ok to knock out a cheating wife, but wives arent allowed to knock the piss out of a cheating husband. Sure wouldnt put myself at risk though. There are much easier ways to exact revenge than with violence.

If they don't, I hope he bitchslaps you back! That is NOT how you welcome home our troops who have sacrificed their time and time away from family and some of their sanity and for some, their lives...irregardless of why you would want to bitchslap him, give the man a break! Just a thought--know why it's called a *****-slap???

Not likely, but I can tell you this, with so childish a wish I can see why he left you. Personally I would take you over my knee and give the hide tanning you would deserve while the audience gave the applause I am sure I would get....

i'm not sure what the military law is so if you are on a military base i am unsure. however, if you do it on state or municipal property then you have just committed domestic abuse and you could be thrown in jail if your husband called the police or if a police officer saw you do it. why would you do that though? if you protest his involvement in the war, should you go about it in a peaceful way or are you hypocritical? or did he cheat on you in which case should you just leave his ***?

No, usually during a welcome home ceremony, their arenn't any MPs around... just because he got some desert lovin' in the field that cold and lonely night doesn't give you the right to slap him.

Ironic! Slapping your husband when he returns from protecting your freedoms.....Funny, If you were ANYWHERE in the middle east and tried that, some Imam would order your death and your decapitated head would be the half-time show at the local soccer game.

And I hope he hauls off and cold conks your ignorant, disrespectful hind parts! Then the participants can haul you off and leave you at the curb where trash belongs!
Psst, that's known as ASSAULT AND BATTERY, a serious charge. If you think you can do the time (and afford a lawyer),
go ahead and be stupid and do the CRIME.
