i have an old 90s camcorder that uses cassette but it has audio and video inputs for watching on tv. my computer has the same inputs and i plugged in my camcorder to upload a video but nothing pops up and i was wondering if its even possible to use this camcorder with a computer?

You need to buy a capture device. Such devices are avauilable at Best Buy, Circuit City etc. With it you can hook anything to your computer from a top notch Mini DV Camcorder, DVD Player, PS2 down to a stereo 8-track player.

Ok, I'm not too familiar with analog capture boards because I use firewire myself, but I'll try to help. I think windows media player might be able to record video from a tv tuner. Try it and see if it works. Or maybe movie maker, but I really dont think so. So give both a try. Nothing will pop up on your computer when you connect it because its analog, so you will have to open up each program then see if it can capture. Hope this helps!
