Don't worry, it's normal. You will be able to bite down normal again soon. You can mention it to your orthodontist at your next visit, or even call and ask if it will make you feel better. Good luck with your braces!!

He probably knows and has placed a build up material on your molars to keep you from being able to bite down and touch the ends of your upper teeth to the lower bracket. Now if you can bite together, and your teeth do touch the brackets, then yes call him he will appreciate it. Otherwise you will knock the brackets off and he'll have to replace them all and then do the build up to open your bite. Hope I've helped you, and don't hesitate to call him tomorrow if your touching them. We hate having to re-do our work because of our mistake! Good luck!
After looking at your question again and others answers I have to wonder if I misread or you said bracket and meant band. If it's your bands on the molar teeth stopping you from closing then that is normal. If it's the brackets on the front teeth that your hitting when you try to put your back teeth together, then you have a problem and need to see the ortho asap.

You look large. Braces take time to get used to. I bear in mind as quickly as I have been given mine off, it develop into strange no longer having them. do no longer concern, basically think of how impressive it is going to look in case you haven't any longer have been given them anymore!

Sure. Any questions should be asked by the orthodontist. They should know what is going on.

don't overreact please. You can't bite that well for a few days. Also if people say it hurts like hell smack them in the face. You just have to go through time and your bite will improve.
