The words are basically synonymous. A clump of dirt is larger than a bundle of nerve fibers; a bundle of grapes is larger than a clump of clay. They mean the same thing.

A "clump" occurs naturally. A "bundle" is that which purpose and will put together. Since the latter has more work to it, it will logically be larger than what merely "happened."
