i never dated in high school, i was very shy.. i am 33 now. i often look back and feel that i missed out on a very important part of the natural social development phase in my life.. everyone seems to have relationships in their teen years that help them learn the ropes..

as far as a serious relationship, it is probably better to have one really good long relationship than to have several short ones that all end in disaster or heartbreak.

i think the disadvantage is that many teens date for the wrong reasons, and they end up doing things they learn to regret, later in life..

Advantages: You can make your single friends (as in, those who can't be happy as singles) jealous.

Disadvantages: Too much time away from your work, disgusting episodes of PDA, the general uselessness of males.

i never dated in highschool and most of the relationships that i've known about didn't last because of going apart to college and then they both wind up meeting someone else
