Fla ... No, I wouldn't waste our time with that. In theory, it sounds like a good idea. I've love to slap him upside his head, myself ... I think he needs it. But he'll fail sooner or later just like all the "crazies" eventually do.
If the CIA DID arrange for his assassination, the political risks would be too great and wouldn't have been worth the effort, I feel. With the way things sound down there, if Chavez had died from a previously undiagnosed heart condition, their tabloid news outlets would find an excuse to cast suspicion on the CIA whether the CIA was involved or not.
So, it seems the U.S. cannot win the public opinion battle these days. But instead of worrying about every little negative headline coming out every other day, I just look at how many people are trying to emigrate to America as a way of measuring whether this is a good place to be or not. When the lines at immigration offices start to "dry up," that might mean one of two things: (1) Things have gotten really bad around here and no one wants to move to the U.S., any longer, or (2) Everyone in the world has abandoned their homeland and has already moved here.

If assasination was an option, why didn't the CIA did that to Saddam?. That could have saved the U.S. billions of dollars and 3,000 American soldier's lives, not including those permanently disabled because of the Iraq war.
But I would never do that to Chavez. He doesn't have WMD's, bio-chemical, or nuclear weapons. He never invaded any foreign country. He never harbored terrorists. He never murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people. In short, he is not a threat to anybody. So why worry about him?.

Why assasssinate him ? Because he say`s it like it is ? Bush is a nasty piece of work, Chavez know`s it and has the balls to say it. He should be canonized.

It would be a violation of the law. I could not support it.
Chavez is destroying a young democracy.

NO. The only reason we don't like him, is he wants foriegners to stop raping his country. He wants to consolodate his country's wealth, and share it with his people. We are part of the rapers.
He is democratically elected.
