You didn't specify that the story had to be a tale of woe, so here's mine. My mother-in-law is a loving and generous woman. I am very fortunate, I realize. But for those of you who have difficult mothers-in-law, try to keep in mind that she gave life to your spouse, and you have to be grateful for that. Try to be polite at all times and not let the irritating mannerisms get to you. Best of luck!

Yea. I got one. When I was dating my wife, my mother in law hated my guts! She tried everything in the book to get us to break up... then finally, she did the final trick... She forced us to get married with false accusations... so we were forced to get married... Hmm... but I loved my wife... The funny thing is, is that we've been married about 3 years now and she finally admitted that she actauly wanted me as a son-in-law... haa haa.

Yes, here's a short version of one of my many stories! My mother in law refused to come to our wedding because she didn't like me, I told her she didn't have to like me, but I wanted us to be polite to each other for the sake of my husband she told him to choose between us! He chose me and she is no longer a part of our lives.

My mother in law tried to prohibit my husband from marrying me by grounding him...We are, and were, legal adults...I thought it was funny, but she was serious.

Oh yes. Mine is constantly reading her bible and doing bible studies and she sits and talks about all of her children's spouses. She goes next door to her daughter's home and talks about me. And she is extremely racist.
