A teacher told my best friend that he needs mental help in front of the class. Ever since the whole school has been harassing him. What can he do about this?

He should tell the principal or another adult he trusts at the school. A teacher knows that he/she should NEVER humiliate a child in front of others. Did your friend talk to the teacher about it, and tell the teacher how it made him feel?
As for the teasing, just ignore it and it will go away after a while. I DO NOT think your friend should switch schools just cuz of a little teasing.

First I would like to say that you are a good friend to this young man, in showing your concern. If you can go to an adult that you can trust, they need to be made aware of the teacher that publicly humiliated your friend.A teacher has no right to embarrass any student for any reason. A teacher is supposed to set good examples for students, be compassionate, not insulting.Tell your friend to ignore whoever is harassing him,Maybe the two of you can speak to a guidance counselor together at school. There is strenth in numbers. I hope you can work this out. As for the foster parents? I would hope they would be more open minded, get ALL the info before passing judgment.

I feel so bad. I had a similar experience with my daughter. Your friend needs to tell his caseworker if his foster parents won't listen. That is about the meanest thing a teacher could say. In the meantime, they need to talk to the principal themself. Tell him to go to the office and ask to speak with him. That should help some. But do make sure to tell the caseworker. Maybe they can do something. Tell him good luck for me.

You know, people say mean and nasty things. Children and adults. It wouldn't bother me very much about the teasing. Just take it with a smile, no big deal. But this teacher would be writing me up every day, cause I'd give her a mental problem.

That's not right. It's rude and disrespectful to him.
Your friend needs to tell his parents, and the parents need to talk to the teacher.
As far as the buttholes in your school that are harassing him, there's not much you can do. Some people are just jerks and there's nothing you can do about it. They'll find something else to bug someone else about soon.

I would say that since the foster paren't don't believe him that he should go to the guidance counselor at school and speak with them. They will be able to give him the advice that he is needing. Good luck!

you should press charges against Ur teacher because she shouldn't say mean stuff like that to embarrass Ur friend
and if it was in front of the hole class that means you have witnesses so you will probably win
hope this helps
and u could have u and Ur friend switch schools if you have to

Talk to the principal. Make sure you have witnesses, meaning the other kids in the class. Good luck.

Press charges against the teacher for disclosing private information openly and have the kid change schools.
