i ALLREADY tried system restor to several dates, and it doesn't fix the problem. The internet explorer just messe up more.

After it quits installing it won't let me do ANYTHING with internet explorer. (i have to do system restore just to be able to go to windows updates)

I've tried to go to microsoft to re-install it, but it does the same thing.

I tried to go get firefox, but it wont let any links pop up. (i also can not copy/paste anything to or from the internet.

On the taskbar it also shows a blank area instead of the site you are visiting

Do you have any options for uninstalling the program in Add/Remove programs?

You may also want to check your registry of any residue of IE7 before trying to install again.

You are really close to just needing to reinstall XP.

You need to go to Best Buy or Staples and buy software to completely remove all of the old version of windows. Sometimes small bits of data remain on the disc that effect the operation of a newly installed system, Windows 7 i quite different than what you had in there originally . Its called a utilities to do this and is quite inexpensive.

Install firefox 2 instead it is more secure

It could be many different types of problems but my experience tells me that you probably need more memory to do it.

You could delete programs or videos or music or whatever is taking up too much memory or you could add memory.
