Where can i get make up which covers scars on the face. i have acne scars on my face and they look awful. i am 26 and i feel so embarrassed if i have to go out without make up but even with make up you can see the scars. I have tried powders and cream foundations but i can not cover it up. Any one know of anything to hide these scars? And where do i buy them from?
thanks

Hi, are you in the UK. I just got this great make up from Boots - its called Couvrance, the foundation cost me around £13.00 for a small bottle but I think it is worth every penny, they gave me a make over and used this green stick to cover up my 'blemishes' and afterwards my skin looked FLAWLESS, could not see on spot and everyone has commented that my skin looks healthier. I only have spots not scars but it works so well on them, it should do for you. Go and ask the nice girls at Boots and they'll do a free make over so you can see if its for you. My best friend is willing her Clinique to run out so she can buy some!

The only thing I can think of is if you go to a photographers or a theatre there will be someone who deals with make up and ask their advice. I got some advice as I am going to have a big scar down the right side of my face due to having to have an operation and that will be different to Acne scarring. Good Luck

Hi,I have a very large scar due to a scald when I was a toddler.I spent a fortune before I was married on concealers and foundations. Then one day at work I covered as a bank nurse in a dermatology clinic and the consultant asked me what I had done,He explained that if I got a re-feral from my G.P. to the local branch of The Red Cross they could maybe help.I went along to The Red Cross saw two lovely ladies who spent an our with me to colour match a camouflage cream. It worked perfectly and I know get it on prescription for just the price of a normal script,Good Luck!

Rimmel concealer is good, i find it best to use a acne foundation, then cover individually with the concealer and then go over with a powder. Just remember looks arnt always important.

There's a product called Sheer Cover, I thinks its american. its not cheap by any means (abt £35.00)but really works. Ive seen it for sale on ebay. My friend uses it to cover a rasberry birthmark on her face. You could try a search engine on the internet for alternative suppliers.
