Depends on the age of the younger person. My age? I could go about 15 years. A teen? No more than 1 year.

Darned if I know ... I'm 7 years older than my husband, and we are 'perfect' according to the 'insurance charts on age at death' ... so maybe a May-December relationship is one where one person is bound (by 'odds') to live many years after his/her partner dies ... other than that, I don't the the 'chronological age' counts nearly as much as good friendship and love do.
