I just made this up right now: Ok. Being small doesn't mean that you can't accomplish big things! Hope that helped! Happy B-day to your 2-year old daughter!

Pretty much anything made post 1990's. Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kesha, rap, and the like of which are all incredibly brutal. Let's go back to the 60's and 70's and rejoice in the excess that was Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, shall we? There was actual hand-crafted, genuine, wholesome music that was played in studio and in live concert (without the studio version playing in the background, believe it or not). I feel pretty sad for this generation of youth.

Kind of big for a cake, but my mom always told me
"There was a little girl
that had a little curl
right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good
she was very very good
and when she was bad
she was horrid"
Isn't that a nice thing for a mom to tell a little girl?

I have always liked the "little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice"
or maybe somrthing poetic like:
a gift from heaven, to her father and me-
an angel to raise, a princess to be.
or:
A perfect baby, we brought in this world-
a gift from above, a sweet little girl.
or
As you get older,
we hope you remember.
Of you we're so proud,
and we'll love you forever.

“A Daughter is a Little Girl who grows up to be a Friend”
This is the nicest one I found.

I think this was from one of the female saints.
All of the young girls all wanted to go to heaven, but one of the girls said she wanted to go to hell instead. She was asked by her mother why she wanted to go to hell, and then the little girl answered, "I wanna go to hell, cause I wanted to share my love and care to those who are there, so they will eventually learn how to love and care."

How sweet!
All I can think of is "short and sweet." That about sums it up, right? LOL
Maybe "Thank heaven for our little [child's name]"
