Taylormade for woods.
Both good for hybrids, depends on what you prefer.
Callaway for irons.
Both for wedges, I prefer taylormade.
For putters, Callaway owns a company called Odyssey, which are the best putters in golf.

Its all about what feels good when you hit it...although more professionals have Taylormade drivers in their bag, Titleist, Callaway and Nike had 23 20 and 17 wins, half the Nike wins were Tigers of course, the rest were other brands (those numbers if not 100 percent accurate were in the January Golf digest or Golf magazine one or the other, I perused them yesterday as I was reading about the 'hot list' for new and highly rated equipment), remember pros get all the trick shafts and fitting whenever they please, as far as recreational equipment I read last year that Ping drivers did quite well at retail...as for irons Callaways are very popular but quite pricey, and Clevland makes wedges that a lot of pros have played over the years (roger cleveland is now designing wedges for callaway) Odyssey putters are very popular at the pro and recreational level, but some big name professionals still play a Titelist (scotty cameron) putter. Regardless of price and popularity, you have to determine what feels good in your hands when you play...compare and demo its well worth the time...

I agree with those provided the answers above. Both Callaway and Taylormade make good driver, woods, and irons. However, in my view, Taylormade is more popular with their drivers and Callaway is more popular with their irons.
I used to love Ping irons but I've now switched to Taylormade because they are even more forgiving than the Pings.

The trend right now is Taylor Made for Woods (R5 and R7 are very popular) and Calaways for irons although the Taylormade RAC is a better iron. This is all opinion though, they are both good companies and you couldnt go wrong with either, just go try them out and whatever is more comfortable to swing is better. personally i still use an older Big Bertha cause i hate HUGE drivers and i ahve a set of RACs and Callaway Steelheads both are excellent

All the guys i caddie for usually have callaway irons not that many drivers. From what i have seen i think taylormade drivers are a better choice though most guys i have caddied for have had a mix of taylormade drivers and woods along with other brands.

Well to answer your Question their is really no better club now a days due to the rules of the USGA all the Top Clubmaking Companies have all the same Technological Guidelines and they have all pushed them to the limits , so Technologically all the clubs are pretty much the same , what is comes down too is how they feel in your hands and how they feel when you swing , you should take the time and demo all the clubs you can then reach your own decision , asking other Golfers on Yahoo Answers will not really help you , plus finding the clubs that are right for you well that's the fun part !!!
Good Luck !

I personaly play Callaway irons and a Taylor Made r7 425 driver. I have never played with Taylor made irons. One of the traits of the Callaway irons is their forgiveness on mis-hits. I used to play a Callaway Fusion driver but recently switched to the r7. I think it is a little longer and a little more accurate. I am a 15 handicap.

both are about the same, have played with both with woods and driver, and prefer the taylormade driver, but enjoy the callaway woods, I think Callaway has the edge on irons and putters..not to mention balls
