Considering one Atheist believes all us Christians answer like infants and stuff..

And don't be sarcastic and cruel.

You could make infants cry like that.

why would an all-loving, perfect god make people flawed and then slaughter then brutally for being flawed?

I'm not an athiest, but I would like to know why do Christians have several versions of the Bible--do they believe they were written by Jesus (PBUH) or just by followers?

Yoda Green: this answer is for you, because you do not allow e mail, I must answer it here.

Blood types: go to the story in Genesis where it speaks about the sons of God coming to earth and finding the women fair. They mated with them and created "giants" who were very knowledable.

Very easily we can get not only people larger than we may have been used to seeing and of different blood types.

Now, if you wish, onto the questions that you deem more difficult

KC Superstar: this one is for you.
There was no december 25 during the life of Jesus Christ , nor this Horus that you ask about. The calendar that we use today did not come about until much later during the Roman reign and that is why we do not know a date of birth for any of the people that are written about before this calendar came into being.

The bible tells us years that a person lived, but does not give dates of birth, nor death. Our system of dating days is relatively new and was not used in those times.

I'm not an atheist - I'm a seeker -Some of my thinking questions... working on these myself.. not much time with 3 kids and a job... and we may not have enough info to answer and have to just trust. That one can be hard for me.

Do you believe that Christianity is the only way to find God?
How does God handle people who have been trained in other faiths (or localized religions) but sought Him to the best of thier ability as creator?

Why would God choose to reveal himself to one people preferentially? Abraham obviously sought him wholeheartedly but surely others did too.

Blood sacrifice: Why can't God look upon sin? (surely this is his choosing) Why does blood cover sin? Why couldn't repentance come without blood?

Does God change his mind? Does God actively participate in the universe or did he set in all up in the beginning so everything would happen according to plan. Does God alter physics for miricles so to speak or does he work through the natural system he set up according to its laws.

What does God want from us most. Faith, Admiration, Recognition, Obedience, to do good?

While I (or others in my shoes) want to have total faith, why does he not give me the grace to accept him more easily?

That is a lot of food for thought, but we have a lifetime to ponder. If any of these have been subjects you have spent some time and thought on and have some good insights, let me know when you have time. grae @ yahoo.com I get so much junk there can you flag any response with "faith" in the subject.

Why does the Bible's description of Jesus' life appear oh-so-similar to the lives of pagan gods being worshipped hundreds of years before Jesus?

Horus: Born of a virgin in a cave on December 25. Shared bread and wine with his 12 followers. Was crucified and resurrected three days later. Was baptized in the Nile river by Anup the Baptizer. Began his ministry at age 30.

Horus was worshipped nearly 1,000 years before Christianity began.

Here is an easy one;
If Goliath was real, what became of him and his family? And why is there NO evidence that anyone of his size ever existed?

Here is another one;
How, if Eve was made from Adam's rib (making them both the exact same blood type) are there 4 major blood types (O, A, B and AB) and dozens of sub-types?
With two people of the same type, it is IMPOSSIBLE to have different blood types.
Answer those first and we can go on to some difficult ones later ok?

Ok. Where is undeniable proof of the red seas parting, that isnt bible scripture. And while you are answering that, why are scientists able to trace back almost to the exact spot that the big bang happened at, where was the garden of eden, prove the great flood, and... hmmm.... prove to me Christ existed. Without using your bible.

Here's one:

If you were a member of Joshua's army, and he told you that God ordered you to slaughter a town, and to kill every man, woman and child in the town, would you do it? After you took your sword to pregnant women and crying babies, he would order you to take a young virgin woman, most likely against her will, as your prize.

Would you do it?

I am a Christian, and one of the hardest questions for me to answer is:

If God is in controll of everything, why do bad things happen? Does this mean he wants them to happen? Did he want Katrina to hit New Orleans and for all those people do die?

we talked about this at church one day and it confused me. Yes, God wanted Katrina to happen. God is in controll and he makes everything happen. Nothing surprises him.
