Never leave milk out -keep in the fridge.Do not take chances with anything you question. Also if you are going off for a few days and the milk is about to expire ,did you know you can freeze it and un-thaw it when you return? Try it next time .

It wouldn't mold, but it would clabber, where the proteins in it are denatured and the milk sugars turn sour.
You could actually bake w/ it instead of buttermilk for another day or so, but I wouldn't advise drinking it as-is.

it goes bad 2 hours after being left out.
plus sunlight or another other light can mess it up as well.

are you talking about cow milk because if you are you shouldn't drink that stuff. it's for baby cows not you.
