that may be so for some, but I have no brothers. I've also heard that girls tend to fall for guys that are like their fathers or the type of men their mothers are attracted to (whether they realize it subconsciously or consciously doesn't matter).
I guess I'm the exception to the rule because I have no brothers for influence, no guy I have liked has been at all similar to my dad, and mine and my mom's taste is like opposites. I from my own opinions based on what I learn about the person, not what I've learned from anyone else. You can't help who you're attracted to...

Mostly from their fathers, if there's one in the girls life - or other adult figures interacting with the mother... all a care giver thing.
To a lesser extent brothers, particularly brothers who are significantly older, can impact a growing girls view of men...

The double standard stems from the previous rules/ mores related to marriage and kin rights. a guy became into basically to blame to shelter little ones born under wedlock. Illegitimate little ones have been completely the accountability of the mummy. a guy's little ones have been seen as his property and if somebody grimy his daughter by way of making her pregnant it became into seen as an affront and criticism against the guy. If a son have been given a woman pregnant he became into purely sowing wild oats in reality it became into not that uncommon for a guy to purchase his son a hooker without any consideration of passage into adulthood. hence it became into made a regulation to guard the extra youthful single females, even nonetheless they could get married in many situations by way of thirteen. so which you're able to nonetheless have intercourse with a youthful woman, you basically had to marry her first.

Once they reach a certain age, brothers and sisters usually share their views on the opposite sex with each other. It's kinda just being protective. They'll let you know the games they play(even though they do it themselves) and often offer their opinions, even if they aren't asked for.
