Belinda- It's impossible to avoid being born and being a child, but all you have to do to avoid having a child is to use birth control, so it seems to me that children deserve more of "a break", as you put it, than parents do.

Oh, we need someone to wash dishes and laundry and stuff. Plus it's also good to have someone to annoy and embarrass when they are teenagers. lol

In that every family with its offspring is an evolutionary experiment unto itself of the human expression and experience, some of those expressions are more primitive than others and revolve around brutal dominance and control issues. When you raise your own family someday and have that once in a lifetime opportunity to express your vision of the way the world should be, rise above brutal, primitive control issues as best as you can (no one is a ever a perfect parent) and teach your children to rise even higher than your vision. That's what honorable humans do. We rise. Learn more about the way your parents were raised, what shaped them and why they grew to be bossy parents. The first step to rising in parental vision is understanding and appreciating the history of your lineage.

People have children for a lot of different reasons. Some may not be the best reasons but that's life. For the most part, I don't think we have kids just so we can boss them around -that's why we have significant others - just kidding. Whether or not we have children for good or bad reasons, I think majority of us have them out of love - well I hope we do!

Give your parents a break! They're doing the best that they know how to do. Running a house is a lot of work. Help a little more and avoid the drama. It's hard to be a kid, and it's hard to be a parent, too.

I can not tell you why most people have kids but i can tell you why i had them

i had 5 kids i love my kids very much i wanted to carry on my family i wanted a piece of me and my husband i wanted to to be a mom and teach them and love them i would not triad the time i have spent with my kids for the world (the good and bad) now my kids are older and i am looking forward to them having kids

we don't have them to boss around but we do boss them around to teach them think about what your life would be if your parents just let you do your own thing and never told you what to do and never took the time to teach you anything what kind of life would you have what kind of person would you be think about all the times your parents told you not to do something when you were 2 years old would you still be alive if they let you do it ? think of it as guidance not bossing

all you have to do to boss someone arround is get a job and get into management.

parents have kids for WAY more complex reasons, to carry on their family name and blood line, so they won't be alone in old age after eveyone they knew is gone, because they like children, and sometimes there is no reason, it just happens.
