Hi there. Most of the time the hen incubates the eggs. Some species take turns. All birds keep the eggs moist by bathing and sitting on the eggs. This keeps the eggs from drying out. They also turn the eggs in the nest and the number of times a day depends on the bird. Have a decent paper with a great grade.

It actually depends on what bird we're talking about. Most of the time, yes, so make sure you add all the details and extra junk you need for a good paper!! Good Luck, Hope you get that "A" ^_^

yeah. and egg needs to be kept warm in order to develope properly.
take penguins for example. if the egg is dropped onto the snow (like in happy feet), the cold can cease the life of the baby chick inside, and it wont get a chance to hatch. the eggs at the grocery store are cooled to low temps. so dont attemp to hatch one cause it wont work!

In most cases, yes.

Eggs are fertalized by the male BEFORE they are laid. In most species the male and female take turns incubating the eggs.

The female lays the eggs and the male sits on them and releases his sperm on the eggs. They both take turns sitting on the eggs until they hatch. That's how my cockatiels have always done it, and it works! Good luck on your paper...gee..hmm..sound like my kid..due tomm. help!! lol :)
