It all depends which area of Toronto you would prefer. Check TripAdvisor.com.

It all depends on where in T.O. you want to stay. In general, downtown hotels are expensive. There is a Holiday Inn on Sherbourne that used to be relatively cheap (80-90/night).

Hotels near the airport are probably cheaper than downtown, but the airport is 30 minutes from downtown, so you probably wouldn't want to stay there.

The Days Inn on lakeshore is cheap, and only 10-15 minutes from Downtown

follow this link, theres lots of hotels:

Best thing to do, is to check yahoo travel.

Try the Days Inn on Carlton or the Best Western Primrose on Carlton.
BOTH are right downtown...just steps from Yonge St. and public transportation. There are taxi cabs everywhere and their subway is fantastic and easy to navigate. They are both reasonably priced...and the location is PERFECT!
