A button(don't know which one) was accidently pushed on our tv remote. Now the tv screen is a light gray color. There is no picture and no sound. We read the instruction manual and have not figured out what the problem is. We'd like to fix it ourselves rather than have someone come and fix it. Any idea of what the problem could be? We'd really appreciate it. The tv is a JVC.

You probably changed the input source. Look for tv/video key or input key.

Need more info....Do you have cable or Dish/Direct network. If you have the dish or direct network, make sure the little antennae is up on the back of your receiver. (It has a red flag on it. If for some reason that gets knocked down your remote will stop working.

"Reboot" your television and remote.

Turn off and Unplug the television and take the batteries out of the remote. Then plug in the television and put the batteries back in the remote and see if the television resets itself.

Something similar happened with our old VCR and just unplugging it helped.
