(The Goblet of Fire is the most recent movie- I don't mean the long, thick hair she had in the early movies.) My hair is thick, and it's barely shoulder-length. I'm planning on having my stylist thin it out a little bit next time I see her. But my hair is straight, and I really want the soft waves/curls Hermione (Emma Watson) had in the movie. I've already searched it on the internet, but if you have any good pictures please post them. Also, any tips on getting the waves/curls? I'd prefer something fast I can do when I'm getting ready in the morning. Thanks :)

If you want to add waves to straight hair without adding a perm, just wash your hair at night before bed. Braid it while still wet (french braids are good, but a couple of regular braids will work fine) and let dry overnight.

In the morning take out the braids and you will have nice, soft natural looking waves that will last until your next shampoo. DO NOT BRUSH the waves but do use a WET wide tooth comb or just untangle using your fingers. Use a little mousse or hairspray to ease frizz.

If your hair is not naturally wavy or curly, you have to do a lot of things to your hair to get it like Hermione's in the movies. Besides - actors and actresses have their own personal stylists - they don't do their hair for the movies by themselves.

I know someone who used rags in their children's hair overnight - then would just take them out and adjust them to how they needed and they would have beautiful curls. It's probably more hassle at night than in the morning. And they only used it for weddings and special events that their family was attending.

For a quick fix like you're talking about for straight hair - there is no quick fix.

Hmm, I am trying to remember what it looked like. Possibly a crimper could work, or a perm. I remember getting a perm a couple years ago and it looked really good and wavy, but not TOO wavy.
