If you're not using a shampoo that is specifically for colored hair, that could be one issue that is easily resolved. Generally speaking, color needs to be re-done on a regular basis, anyhow, to refresh the color, and to keep up with the growing roots. It's been a month. I think that to keep up with hair coloring, it needs to be re-done every 4-6 weeks, or something like that. Of course, that costs money, but if you have it and can keep up with it - all the more power to you.

Your hair color fades with each washing actually. Try using a shampoo with sunscreen in it since the sun fades your color also. I wish someone would come up with a hair color that lasts and lasts and lasts:>)

I second the color care shampoo and conditioner advice, but use a good quality line. Here are some recs: ARTEC color care shampoo (has enough color deposit so you don't have to use a coordinating conditioner), Aveda color care line, Goldwell color glow (the treatments are meant to be used once a week and have the most color deposit). All of the lines mentioned deposit a slight amount of color to keep yours bright, so they look really scary in your hand, but work really well.

Stop showering in chlorine! Chlorine is a bleach that will fade your hair color (plus it dries outyour hair). You need a shower filter which removes the chlorine from your shower water.

Purchase colour care shampoo/conditioner; such as John Freida. It makes the color last and makes it look newer!
