Are you talking about the Uberman (Superman)?

There used to be quite a bit of talk about improving mankind before world war II. Not just Germany, but the entire world was excited about where man was headed and what it would mean.

Unfortunately the violently enforced and badly misguided Nazi plan wiped out any chances of improving mankind for generations.

Until recently, the mere mention of anyone being better than anyone else (unless you are stereotypically ethnic) causes a knee-jerk reaction of Nazi name calling.

There is no evolutionary competition going on.

Pro-human rights groups have publicly fought for the rights of self-admitted junkies and carriers of genetic diseases -- and even terminal contagious diseases like AIDS -- to carry ill babies to term.

Improved child healthcare has not only helped many children, it has also dragged out the misery, pain, and death of unhealthy children for months (and millions of $).

There is hope. In the Netherlands parents are given The Choice even AFTER a child is born and especially after the newborn has been tested to make sure it is healthy.

Another few generations and we might start improving the human race again. Until then we need to encourage the newest generations to distinguish between life and quality of life.

Evolution is an incredibly slow process. We are evolving all the time, but in terms of macro evolution, and evolving far enough to be classified as a new species, that will not happen. Remember, all we use to classify all of the different animal groups are different characteristics they share.

While there are many forces behind evolution, the main driving force is natural selection, which depends on nature. Humans are no longer in the hands of nature, so the driving force for the evolution of the human primate is effectively turned off.

The species is evolving all the time, as the battle between the bugs and the immune system continues. But such evolution isn't particularly visible. Differential evolution arises from separation of populations (consider the differences between Asian, Caucasian, and ******* peoples), and with today's rapid communication, differential evolution is dead. So we will all go together when we go.

I have four butts. Through natural selection and evolution I have evolved to sit perfectly comfortable in all chairs. My father was an accountant his father worked in an office, it goes on for generations. Those that worked at factories met horrid deaths, the coal miners died as well. All that survived were us office workers.. My dad had three butts, his dad also had three. Now I have surpassed them with my four butts. I can go to the bathroom and be done in seconds, this has made further advancement in my job easy as I am never late for meetings.

Yay!

First we have to test the alpha version, and then hopefully go into beta in the next few thousand years. We should have learned from software releases that new versions are always full of bugs.

Well, consider the fact that we're taller than we used to be some hundreds of years ago. So we are currently evolving.

Man has evolved in the past hundred thousand years or so. Do you wish it to be sooner than that?

Why? do you still look like an ape? I do not think so. Are you still foraging food from the trees? How are you able to use this computer? Why, aren't you happy yet?
