Like 3 months ago i pierced my lip and a bout a wek afterward a little white bump showed up right next to the labre... in the past 3 months it's nearly doubled in size and it's a little hard knot. it's already popped twice with some gooey ***** **** should i be worried? or do something about it thanks for all the REAL answers....

Yes U got an infection. Think of everything that passes over Ur lips. That's a lot of germs. U outta see a doctor & take it out, leave it out. It won't be cool 4 ever. Hope this gives U something 2 think about.

This isnt a question for yahoo, you should be talkin to a health professional. when i had my labia pierced there was minor sweling for about a week but it went away pretty quickly. so talk to a doctor, if you dont have adiquate health care a school nurse or somthing like that would be helpful (if you dont have that available to you webmd.com could help but it dosnt replace an actual health professional). in the meantime use a non-alcoholic mouth wash (alcohol can kill the helpful bacteria that helps w/ oral healing) and use an antibacterial ointment for the outside of your lip. idk if you pierced it by yourself, but if you did its not really a good idea, next time go to a professional piercer (just because a store does piercings dosnt mean there professionals, no head shops!)
also fyi, whenever dealing with piercings or tattoos first ask if you can look around their facility, some places actually reuse needles and repackage them make sure theres nothing like that going on. if they seem like there hiding somthing go somwhere else
