by plexes you mean chakras. there are 7 major chakras and a number of minor ones and intermediate ones also. the purpose of thes chakras is to absorb good energy and throw out the bad energy(unhelpful energy) they are wheel like,with different number of petals, and spin anticlockwise and clockwise depending upon whether they are throwing out negativity or absorbing positive energy. the chakras are having different colours of the rainbow starting from purple to red at the base chakra( google for chakras for moe details). they are said to be in front of the body and behind the body. i have seen the purple one rotating just above my hairline. above the head is a thousand petaled golden lotus. it is beautiful
the aura is the biomagnetic field and is in the shape of an eggwith the pointed portion towards the ground. it extends to about an arms length around you having an inner proximityand outer proximity and between is a hue of colours depending upon your health and your peresonality. the diseases that attack us travel through this aura and it takes 6 months to an year for the disease to reach us. if it is removed from the aura them we do not catch it. aura should not have tears in its proximities and nor should its radials be drooping. weak auras close to the body means a weak person and healthy people have bigger auras. the spiritual gurus( the good ones) have auras that extend to the other end of the building. diseases leaving the body do out into the aura first and them out of the aura. cleaning of aura is taught in reiki and other systems of healing

I too have been experienceing this same thing. I am 20. I got sick with pneumonia recently. Sat in the shower for about an hour to clear my sinuses,went into a daze and started seeing purple pulsating off the eggshell colored walls. Was not the first time, but it was most recent. Also saw wavey rays going threw my Windows, found that the most interesting, it had slight hint of all the colors of the rainbow. I am not heavey into eastern spirituality. So I know little on it. I mostly find these experiences interesting. What tends to happen a lot lately is the "out of body" experience. Kinda annoying when your driving. Also I tend to get heightened peripheral views, witch has happened. A lot MIT entire life. Anyway, I know this is not an awncer, but I can relate....

A network of nerves or of blood or of lymphatic vesslels is plexus. Subjective sensation preceding seizure is called aura, the patient feels some different sensation before getting convulsion.
purpose of different plexus is to collect different information, blood and send this to different processing useful to the body.

NOT SEVEN BUT TEN -DASHAM DWAR if you mean within the purview of spirtuality.They are cosmic replicas in our physical body plan meant for fascilitating transcdental experiences.aura is the replica of noor from which this jagat has emnated & there is constant emmission of aura from these chakras.
