I remove myself from the environment I am in for a change of routine by taking a vacation, even a what I call a mini vacation, which is a week end away. If I can't possibly do this, I take the phone off the hook. Then take a nice warm tub bath with a couple of scented candles burning in the bathroom, vanilla sooths my nerves or lavender. I keep the water running slowly in the tub to keep the water warm. I have one of those inflatable neck pillows to put behind my head so I can stretch out in the tub. Put on some soft music of your choice, I like blues, while soaking. When my muscles no longer feel tight and I feel totally relaxed, I put on my nighty and robe. Then have a nice hot cup of herbal tea, my favorite is "Tension Tamer" Celestial Seasonings carries this brand. Stretch out in the recliner and watch a good movie.

Some of the best ways to relax is to take a warm bath with baking soda. I know it sounds funny, but it really does work, and the cool thing about it is that is also helps to get rid of knots in your neck and body.
Another way to relax is to excercise. When you get your heart rate up, this will help to relax you once you start cooling down.

Best way is to relax, If you know any relaxing techniques. If not try any of these
1) Relax and close your eyes(while playing a relaxing music... mostly Jazz, or easy listening music)
2) Meditate, Try joining meditation class or buy a relaxation/meditation CD.
3) Turn in warm water(if you can handle hot water, fill hot water) in the Tub. Take tablespoonfull of rocksalt(Not powdered salt), dissolve it in the tub, and soak in the tub for 10 to 20 minutes.
4) Try walking by park(if you live in a warm weather area, etc) or walk indoors.

Take a nice hot bubble bath. Listen to relaxing music, go for a walk, and sometimes it is good to just breathe. Write. Writting is a really good way.

Sex. Like, seriously, sex. Or girl, go and get your hair and nails done up. Find a nice spa (you might pay a lil bit, but it'll be worth it) and get a deep tissue massage (the best!), a facial, and a nice manicure and pedicure.
