When painting a room you must consider the light and dimension of it. If it has poor natural light strong colours die. If it is small you can paint stronger colours or warmer colours, but you might be being brave as those kinds of colours tend to come towards you and give the room a smaller feel.- could work. Another aspect to consider is the balance of the room- how much white, how much wall. If the white bits become too isolated and prominent you have chopped the harmony of the room. A shortcut is to stand in the room and start describing what is wrong with the colour, even white. So it is not dark enough there is your start. Not soft enough, not warm enough, not enough like my curtain or blind. I love neutrals in a situation like you describe. The bad words beiges and greys. Better referred to as 'stone' or 'natural'. The range of neutrals is huge. Look at the darker colours that have white in their name. like 'White cliff' or 'dove white' when you compare them you can see that some are yellowish or pinkish or etc. If you get a colour card remove the colour from its white background as the white makes it look darker than it really is. If your joint is Huge then use the colours that you like double strength, could work. Rich colours, olives and terracotta could work but really depends on your layout. Go by the cupboards. hope this helps.

I would use a sage green on the walls. This would give you a kind of garden feel. You could decorate with floral or berry accessories. It wouldn't clash with the adjoining rooms get pretty rugs that would bring the colors together. Pretty curtains would be easy to find in these colors as well as dish towels hot pads...

replacing counter tops are expensive ... BUT there are products that you can use to change the appearance/color. Go to home Depot (or like stores) and ask about the products ... it should be in the paint department. The also have products for enamel sinks, bathtubs
Paint is not all that expensive ... and if you mess up?? Just paint over it again .... I'd choose Burgundy to compliment the pink in your kitchen. If that is too dark for you then check into the faux painting techniques ... marbling ... sponging etc ... plus it's a lot of fun.
Have fun

I'd say paint the walls white and use the dusty rose color as your decor (curtains) to match the countertop. This will probably make your kitchen look bigger. Below you will see a photo of a kitchen done similar to what I described.

Also try http://www.bhg.com register and go to color a room and you will be able to pull up a kitchen and paint it the color you think will go with the dusty rose. I think white walls will look nice though. Good Luck.

Why not pick a pretty wallpaper with all of your colors in it? I LOVE wallpaper in the kitchen (And bath:) They have some really great, durable papers out now days. I recently did mine in a satin burgany/floral/leaf stripe (with some greens & goldish tones in it.) and have had many, many compliments on it. My kitchen is open into my family room, so I never want anything "too kitcheny". If you have a "Discount Decorating Outlet" in your city, they have a huge selection. I always search thru any books I can find, at Lowe's etc...write down your book name, page and pattern number~then order online from America Blinds & Wallpaper..website: decoratetoday.com You'll save a lot of $$. I hope this helps you, and the Best of Luck!!

i would get those samples and match the counter top then go from there. I would probably go with a yellow or a light sage green depending on how it looks with my counter. otherwise white walls with counter top accents and bring yellows and a lighter shade of your pink berry. or you could go with the same family of your countertop either light or darker. that would be really pretty. just get the samples and match them up with the counter top and the garnet and loganbery red accent walls. that is your best bet.

You could try a deep almond color, with a touch of honey. This will give you a warm, but still neutral color to use with all the red to berry tones, like Benjamin Moore golden tan. Check out their website for lots of combos.

I'd consider a deep clay beige that would bridge the rooms with a warmth... Color Wheel Company makes a clay beige and for our home we went four shades deeper. It is very rich looking...
