the green or the white parts?? All recipes say cut up leek so Im lost.

Use all of the white part and some of the green. Not to much of the green though, it doesn't have the flavor, it just adds a bit of color.

Wash it very thoroughly and carefully because there can be sand and grit between each of the leaves. You could actually use it all in a soup. Most people prefer using all the white and about one inch or so into the green.

All the white parts and a little of the green for colour and extra flavour. Good luck.

It's all the white, and a little bit of the pale green. Right before the leaves start dividing. Make sure to wash them well, they've got a lot of grit in them.

hello zippy you can use the tops and all of the whole leek that will make your soup very good
