Do you think its morally wrong to do such a thing, what if we have to answer for sliding by with such behavior when we depart from this world. Or did you not think about your wrongdoing? I confess, I do it all the time cause I am a risktaker! Any other confessions or opinions?

Assuming that you are seriously asking this question and it is not a joke, Yes you can do that. Based on what you are saying, it would be immoral to take a bag of popcorn through the express lane because there are multiple pieces of popcorn in the bag, or a box of cookies because there are more than one cookie. I think the "Item" does not mean an individual oject within the packaging, but an individual item which can contain multiple objects.

You go, wild one! Yes, you can take a dozen eggs or a case of soda in the quick check out line. As a former cashier, I can say that what counts is the number of items that need to be scanned or keyed in. The cashier doesn't scan each egg or each can of soda, so I think you're safe. But, if you really want to think of yourself as a risk taker, then no, this is wrong, very wrong!!

Yes, a dozen eggs or a case of soda counts as a single unit. It's not morally wrong. Wow, what a risk taker you are! Next you'll be running with scissors!

1 carton of eggs + 1 case of pop + 1 case of oil = 3 items! YEP! That's less than 10!

Yes, when taking to the extreme, your question is quite funny. For example, can you check out a 50lb bag of rice in the exptress lane? It contains innumerable grains of rice!

I feel ok going to the express lane with a pallet of seltzer bottles even if it contains more than 10 bottles -- only one gets scanned and the clerk than hits the multiplier button, and we are done. No big deal, as long as it's quick.

Any item that is charged as a single item is a single item. A dozen eggs is 1 item. chips that are Two for $5... well, that's 2 items.
