Norputo and Surputo are slang words which replace Norteno and Surenos, being the rivalry between northern and southern latino street gangs, mostly in California. The traditional dividing line between north and south is Bakersfield, California. 'Nor' from 'norte' or north and 'puto' the male version of 'puta'. Puto is basically a highly derogative word to mean a sissy or male prostitute.
