You can get it easily enough off the dc++ network hubs...I'm really not a fan of limewire and not sure what you'll find there but I'd imagine they'll have it eventually.

Make sure you get the "retail" version...no need to mess with the beta disc anymore. Also, make sure it's the premium or business version....basic isn't quite as cool. You're gonna want a full gig of ram and a decent graphics card for all the aero bells & whistles though.

You'll also need to grab the activation hack with it. (It's only like 1 mb file but very handy if you plan on keeping it running for longer than a month)

PS. Get your drivers in update order before the install...saves yourself a big headache

Yes, it is illegal to download Vista, or any commercial software, without paying for it. Yes, it is illegal to get the serial number off of Limewire. You can download it legally from Microsoft (see instructions at http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/content.aspx?ctId=395&tabid=1) but you will have to pay for it.

Also, if you decide to break the law and pirate the software, you will find that you will not be able to activate it. That means that not only will you not be able to download patches and updates, but some functionality in the operating system will be turned off, leaving it crippled.

In short, it's like everything else in life. If you want it, you have to pay for it. If you want a free operating system, switch to Linux.

Sir, BUY the software! You will need the registration code.

Too, there is data on the CD that you may want at a later date.

Also, if you ever need to reinstall, you will need the CD.

Most computer sites will sell it to you!

Here's the skinny... any program that you get from anywhere but a retailer, or buy from the online provider, is a pirated copy and it IS illegal to obtain such software.
Sure, you can probably find it somewhere, but, when you go to try to register it, it's going to bite you in the butt..
And, no matter what the hackers or others tell you, they CAN and WILL prosecute piracy.

Everybody is saying to hold off buying Vista for several months, as it has alot of bugs and glitches to work out from Micro-soft. People that have bought it already, are having trouble. Its not cracked up whats its supposed to be.

Before you buy VISTA read the articles at:

Linux operating systems are excellent. Try out one of the free distributions. My favorite is UBUNTU. You can download it, or order a CD, at

http://www.ubuntu.com .

You will also get all the software, that you will ever need, FREE - See
