Relaxed - is a term used to straighten curly or wavy hair. It is done using chemicals which does damage the hair slightly so is best only done on hair in good condition or thick strong hair.

Permed - is another chemical hair treatment but this one is to make the hair curly. Chemicals are applied to create curl - curl style depends on what you go for can be anything from a light wave perm to a tight spiral curl perm.

Perms are chemicals that are put on the hair to make either curly or straight depending on your natural hair texture.

Some people want to straighten their hair. I had mine done three times. The same chemicals that are used to curl your hair can be used to straighten it or relax the curl. However in my case, as soon as I washed my hair, my curl came back.
