All the evidence shows that the Earth has experienced sudden climate changes many times, long before man was here this was going on and will continue to happen until the end of the world.

I'm not saying that recycling and other commam sense ideas to help clean things up are not good ideas, there just no evidence any of this is causing global warming.

There's a ton of evidence.

See (for example):

http://www.esr.org/outreach/climate_change/climate/climate1.html

http://www.esr.org/outreach/climate_change/mans_impact/man1.html

http://climate.weather.com/

http://www.ipcc.ch/

Global warming deniers don't care about the evidence. But these people do. They've looked at it and concluded global warming is real and caused by man.

Scientists agree it's real and caused by man:

http://observer.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,1995348,00.html

Business leaders agree it's real and caused by man:

http://money.cnn.com/2007/01/22/news/companies/climate_emissions/index.htm

Republican leaders agree it's real and caused by man:

"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California

"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."

John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona

"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."

President George Bush, Republican

The global warming deniers are exactly the same type of non-science believers as the people who don't believe we landed on the moon.

I would have added "or those who believe the Earth was made 6000 years ago". But I can't. Evangelical Christians believe it's real and caused by man:

The scientific debate over whether global warming is real and caused by man is finished. Yes and yes.

Alright, so if you don't think man is causing it, let's hear your alternative theory wherein CO2 does not effect temperatures and there is evidence of some natural forcing.

You do realize that all the climate changes in the past had causes, correct? And you do realize that we have a fairly good understanding of what those causes were, and that we know the current climate shift is not caused by them? And do you realize that out of all the times the temperature has increased in the past few hundred thousand years, it has never increased as quickly as it is now? And last, you do realize that CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere are higher now than at any time in the last 650,000 years?
Why do you people still deny that global warming is caused by humans?

Truth is there will never truly be prove that humans cause global warming and this is the reason why. They have been reports that show as a fact that the climate change is normal for earth and occur es every couple of years and this is just our time for it.

just wait until tomorrow (Feb. 2nd). the IPCC will release a report on climate change to settle your confused little mind.

It's interesting to note that the biggest opponents of the notion that humans are responsible for climate change are:
oil companies
coal companies
politicians who make money from oil companies
people who live gluttonous lifestyles

Every action has a reaction. When you cut down trees and take carbon out from under ground, then spend 200+ years putting megatons of that carbon into our atmosphere, somewhere an environmental price must be paid. Where does the CO2 go? Where does the methane from oil drilling go? Warming is the fee for unbridled industrialization. You can't get something for nothing...

I don`t know what to believe any more. There are so many versions - and frankly, we can`t be helping, but I don`t know that it`s to the extent that people are saying.

What`s interesting is today`s Associated Press Article - Again, who knows? I have a hard time believing it all, though. I guess I'll do what I can and wait until more concrete science comes in - because for every scientific argument for somethings, there's one against.

yes cuz humans pollute the air and water. They do other things so much worse but I wouldn't know cuz I'm 2 busy tryin' 2 save the earth instead of destroying it.

They think that People aren't helping stop global warming either, such as when people dont recycle and everything goes into landfills and when people leave their cars running forever polluting the air.

global warning is caused by people and the stuff they use. We should carpool walk ride bikes or have more people ridebuses plus we should stop using chemicals we use. thats how global warming con increase but itll still happen just more slowly
