Same question...same answer...The V10 is an anchor!!
Grab a strap, make sure both have equal weight on the rear axle, round up your buddy and let us know how it goes.

These two are not even remotely the same engine or same vehicle.

F150 V6 is a 1/2 ton truck. The V6 is rather weak.

F250 is a 3/4 ton truck. The V10 is a good engine, but it is not as good as the Powerstroke diesel.

If I were buying either truck, I'd buy the 5.4L Triton V8 for the F-150 and wait 2-weeks until the 2008 F-250 6.4L Powerstroke diesel arrives at the dealer.

I'm not a ford fan but i do know the 6 is a very good strong engine
with lots of power for a 6 and the straight 6 has more pulling power than a v6 but I'm not sure how it is against the v10.

Don't under estimate the 300 in line 6 cylinder.
It may not out run the V 10, but it will out pull it.
The 300 was put in F 600's and school buses many years ago. If the V 10 was put their it would be a joke.
One more thing is that the 460 V 8 engine will kill the V 10

If the v10 truck was a 2wd and the 300 6 truck is a 4x4, it may pull that v10 around, but not if they're both 2 whheel or 4 wheel dr.

yes and no. You didn't mention if the 4.9 was stock or not. Also he may be running some ridiculous gears in it, like 6:30's or something. Over the years, I've learned a few things, and sometimes you can't think how things are possible. The next thing you know, the guy just blew your doors off.

David versus Goliath. The V10 has much more torque than the 6cyl.

your friend is officially on crack. please get him help before he says any more ignorant things that make him look like a tool. thats comparable to saying that i have a 6 cylinder mustang that will out run a zo6 corvette. i give you full permission to pimp slap the **** out of him on principle alone.

your friend is a moron. it depends on how far you are gonna run it. in the 1/4 mile, he might pull ahead at first, but you should spank him.
