I read somewhere that they contain a chemical that does make going to sleep easier

Don't know about sleeping easier but bananas are a good source of potassium. Some people suffer night leg cramps (Charlie Horses) and potassium is suppose to help relieve this disorder.

No, it just wakes up your body to digest something. You're supposed to not eat within 2 hours of your bed time for optimum ability to fall asleep. That is also supposed to help you keep the weight off. Too bad that's right about the time I'm craving something! Bananas do help you fight sickness and cramps though!

I don't think being bananas makes it any easier to sleep.

i have heard that they help keep your muscles from cramping while you sleep, it is Calcium that helps you to sleep easier and deeper.
