In the 'old days' young girls often married. It wasn't the same as now. Children were sold into slavery. A lot of things were different then.

And of course Muslims can be gay. People of all faiths can be and are gay. Whether or not their religion "approves" is another thing.

Muslim can be gay, to be gay is not a sin. It is the act of sodomy that is sinful for gay people and for straight people too. Muhammad was married and who says the marriage was consummated at that age you? My husbands grandmother was married at 12 too, it was simply the tradition of the culture. A 12 year old girl in the time of the prophet is not like a 12 year old girl of today. There was a specific reason behind this marriage which was she would live after the prophet and spread his message. She turned out to be the most knowledgeable of all women in Islam. That does not mean in this day and age Muslim men marry 12 year old girls, they dont.
But i dont see you crying out about the thousands of 12,13,14 year old girls giving birth every year in the west. That is perfectly acceptable for a 12 year old to have intercourse and have a baby. But a 12 year old to be married and cared for and respected by her husband in a time when it was common place for girls to marry when they reached puberty that's the outcry? am i right? But teenage girls having multiple sexual partners with no protection that's not top of your agenda i suppose? NO?

Being gay has nothing to do with ones religion, all but the most simple of people know that.

If you go back about 1500 years ago you will find that many women became brides soon after puberty. We may call it Pedophilia today, but back then that was just the way it was, among most of Europe too.

Here's the big one, you might want to get an ice block so your head doesn't over heat. Most Pedophiles are straight, not gay.

In the Islam the homosexuality is forbidden, like in the christianism because is a sin against God. I think that, some people can be gay and is not a sin, the sin is to practice sexual relationships with someone of the same genre.

Pedophillia is not accepted now its a crime; but 500 or 700 years ago maybe this kind of thoughts were different.

I think U do not understand the meaning of " GAY. " Gay is a man and man having sex, But, not man and a girl of 12 years old. Your intent is not to know whether Islam allowed the Muslims to be "GAY" But, your question is more to an insult. As such, check yourself first before insulting others.

I personally know gay Muslims who are spiritual teachers.

Aisha was married to the Beloved Prophet (pbuh) at an early age, but this was the custom of the time. It was done to cement relationships between families rather than for sexual fulfillment. Kindly remember that European royalty commonly married at very tender ages as well, and for the same reason.

It's common knowledge that back in the "good old days" young girls were married off as soon as they hit puberty, which, medically and historically speaking, happened for girls much younger than today's young women, often way before the pre-teen years. Perhaps a little more education before you go judging others would be more skillful behavior?
