Didn't you know that it is bad luck to break a mirror.
Lol.........Why not take it to the Goodwill someone maybe could use it.

Wrap it entirely in plastic and hit it with a hammer into smaller pieces. Tie up the plastic and throw away.

Seriously, call a glass shop and ask them how much they'll give you for it. If it's large enough, they might give you a few dollars. If not, they still might pick it up for free.

wrap it in a thick blanket and smash it up, then empty the blanket into the bin
