Wouldn't it be nice if we knew when our lifespans would be up? Then we could just plan accordingly.
But, life is way too complicated, so yes, I would take a lethal injection if it were available. Who wants to stay in unbearable pain for a long time?! Do you?
Do you have what it takes to remain in a nursing home and waiting 30 minutes after you pushed the button for the nurse just to go to the bathroom?
Do you want to have to sleep sitting up because its daytime and the staff has orders to keep you in your wheelchair?
Do you want to be told when to get up, when to take medicine, have it handed to your mouth by someone you don't know, and be carried by 2 people of the opposite sex to the bathroom where they undress you without your consent? This is just the first 30 minutes of the day, folks.
Do you have the guts to be that person?
You aren't allowed to have any modesty or dignity, and hey, you can forget all about dying a good death, because the nursing home owners need their money from medicaid. They are more than willing to keep you alive and hear your screams for a little $.
So, are you ready to be euthanized yet?

I don't think euthanasia for chronic pain is a nobal or moral use. I do believe in euthanasia for terminal cases where a long and painful degeneration of body and mind will result in a painful death or vegetative state. I have watched a dear friend and her children struggle to accept a life with a husband in a coma for 5 years before he finally passed and also watched my grandmother become a vegetable becouse of huntington's disease and to me it was a shame for the person and their family to have to go through it. Euthanasia would have been kinder for all. We call it humane to euthanase our pets when they are dying and in pain but not for people go figure. I believe there is a big difference between living and existing and I want to live!

I would only choose euthanasia if I was not able to take care of myself & had to depend on someone else to care for me constantly. I would not want my loved ones to have to endure the stress of taking care of me everyday. But if I was still able to do for myself & could learn to pretend the pain wasn't so bad then I wouldn't make that choice.

Yes I would. Simple answer: Pain unbearable/terminal condition anyway = no reason for a slow, drawn out death.
Human beings are strange creatures (this is the slightly longer answer!), we put down animals that are not going to make it without a qualm, but we suddenly clam up when it comes to our own kind. We make such a fuss over such arbitrary things like morals, ethics and of course law, but if you cut the neverending crap out, you come back to my initial simple equation.
