The doctor did a biopsy on a leg spot and prescribed some cortisone cream, but since then it seems to be worse, and has spread to my hands, arms, belly and back. What can I do? It is driving me crazy

I'm a nurse. You can use benadryl for the itching. I would talk to the doctor because what he prescribed isn't working well. I hope this helps you.

I hope you saw a dermatologist and not just a doctor. Sounds as though you need a different treatment, and some antihistimine prescribed if it is itchy. Try an oatmeal bath. Don't shower or bathe everyday (dried out the skin too much), use lots of regular cream to keep it softened. Even Vaseline at night is helpful, though mucky.

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/wB37O

It may be your diet. Do you eat/drink a lot of dairy products? Do you have asthma? Change your soap and use Cetaphil lotion. Pat yourself dry and don't take long showers. Stay out of the pool as well. Shea Butter is good.
