My boyfriend and I have been going out for 9 months. Today is my 15th birthday, but he forgot. I saw him this morning while walking into school, for 15 minutes he said nothing about my birthday. Then, while waiting in the hallway, a friend of mine came up to me and gave me a gift and told me happy birthday. Then, when another friend stood near us, he turned to her and said, "it's her birthday. you should say happy birthday," acting like he knew and everything. He didn't even get me anything, and he wouldn't admit he forgot (but i didn't directly ask him, it was just obvious). Is it my fault that i didn't remind him? For his birthday i gave him a gift worth apprx. $30. I know he knew when my birthday was (or at least I'm pretty sure) but i didnt remind him. Should i have? What do i do now? Im not really that mad, but I sort of am. I mean, nine whole months should mean something to him. Im mostly just sad. Agh. Idk. Girls and guys answers are appreciated. Thanks.

No, you shouldn't have reminded him. Its not very nice of him to forget but some people are just bad with remembering dates. If he shows you he cares about you and you're sure of it then don't make a big deal out of it and just forget about it. If forgetting and acting like he doesn't care is something he usually does then just dump him. Good luck hon♥

This is how guys are. Guys do not remember things like this. It's not that they don't care exactly.....it just does not get remembered. Ask your mom(or any woman) how often their husband, father, brother etc has remembered their b day, or anything else. Normally the women have to remind the men(typically the mom will....'it's Sue's b-day next week', then it's like he did not forget).
Just drop it.

He should have remember your birthday and you should be every right to be mad at him.You still have a couple of hours and hopefully he'll come over to wish you a Happy Birthday. If not, be mad at him. Oh, by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

my ex forgot too well i can say communication is important so say how you feel .if hes like so what then dump him it will hurt but you will find someone new.if he is considerate of how you feel its just what guys do idk
