Yes!!!!
I had a little toy poodle who, when watching FINDING NEMO,
Went to her toy box and found a little orange fish toy that looked just like Nemo and laid down with it and watched the rest of the movie! She also liked to watch any sports program involving people chasing balls.
I also heve a little pom we rescued who cannot watch the Animal Aanet ASPCA rescue programs because she gets upset when she hears dogs who are in distress!

My poodle mix reacts when she sees other dogs or cats or large animals on TV. She runs to the TV and jumps up and down barking. At other times we have caught her sitting on the ottoman watching TV. It is really funny. When we go out we sometimes leave the Animal Planet on for her so she can entertain herself.

Plenty of dogs and cats watch TV. In fact, I think that's where most of Animal Planet's ratings come from.
I used to have a dog who loved to watch animals on TV. When an animal would run across the screen, she would run around to the side of the TV (hoping to catch it when it came out of the TV, I suspect).

My Cairn Terrier, Simon, responds vigorously to animals on TV. Many advertisements on TV feature animals and Simon gears himself up. Somehow he knows the rythmn of ads vs the shows -- when he sees a dog, cat, horse, sheep, whatever -- he responds with spirited barking. It's like he sees the TV as a window and believes the animals are just outside. He especially responds to the MOVEMENT of the animals. Just a picture not moving does not provoke the same kind of response. My other Cairn Terrier, Dusty, could care less about TV -- she totall tunes out.

Both of my dogs do. the young Golden puppy (10 months) is particularly engrossed when she watches TV. My Jack Russell's favorite movie is White Fang, she gets all involved with that one, jumping on the TV, she has turned the TV off a few times. She steps on the remote, it always goes to the Dish network info channel, so we call that Ginger's favorite channel. LOL We sure do love our dogs, they really enrich our lives.

My dogs love Animal Planet...They go right up to the screen, they bark, they try to play with the dogs they see...their ears will perk up if they see a squirrel or bird or something they usually chase in real life...I believe that the "Dog Shows" like the Eukenuba Tournament of Champion's are their favorites because of all the dogs.

i in my opinion watch little or no television presently, yet when I DO have it on, my 7 month previous Papillon Bunny is fascinated in potential of it! Any rapid flow on the reveal or the sound on an animal gets her interest. of direction, it is likewise the canine that likes to take a seat on my lap on the laptop and watch the cursor circulate on the reveal, so take it for what that is worth. :-P I used to have a Gordon Setter that for some reason in her previous age, grew to advance into fascinated in potential of... are you waiting for this? Jeopardy. She might desire to be everywhere interior the abode, and as quickly as she heard the subject material music, she got here trotting out and parked herself on the settee, staring heavily on the reveal, cocking her head backward and forward on the bells and buzzers. It replaced into the cutest ingredient you have ever seen. She could stay there for the comprehensive instruct, then bypass off and do regardless of it replaced into she replaced into doing earlier. After she died, I somewhat have not watched Jeopardy by using fact that. It purely does not look spectacular.

My dog does! But only reacts to other animals on the screen- especially other dogs. I even bought "dog sitter" DVDs for her to watch while I am at work! She loves them.
