Dandruff shampoo may help but also try a very light conditioner with out allot of moisturizer in it. The scalp produces it's own oils and if you are moisturizing from the outside then it doesn't get the message to produce those oils on it's own. This takes about a week depending on how often you wash your hair. Try not to get your conditioner on you scalp. Only apply it to the ends for a little while. Also rub and massage your scalp when you are not in the shower. It will help get the oils flowing again.
Good luck

those white flakes you are seing arent "growing" from your hair. It is dry skin. Everyone has some dry skin, some more than others. I wouldn't call it a good thing especially if its very visible. To get rid of it you can try conditioning your scalp and be sure to wash it well to get rid of the dead dry skin

It's just dandruff.......try Selsun Blue or Head and Shoulders. If that doesn't work, then you might need to see a dermatologist.
