Sadly, yes. Acne is related to the amount of oil your body produces. Generally, it produces more in adolescence which is why acne is worst then. But some people genetically produce more oil, leading them to continue having acne into adulthood. Women who have adult acne usually find it diminishes around menopause, when the body stops producing as much oil. Antibiotic medications expressed through the skin (like tetracycline) are among the most effective treatments.

yes there is adult onset acne and some meds. cause outbreaks Isuffer from both there are creams that help but they are expeive onless coverd by insurance most are not so you make do withover the counter stuff.that drys out your skin.

Yes, its mostly caused by hormone imbalance and certain meds you take. I am dealing with the same problem and i see no end. Tried every OTC stuff and Rx med for it but urggg. Hope you find something that works for you.
