The soul is the self, the "I" that inhabits the body and acts through it. Without the soul, the body is like a light bulb without electricity, a computer without the software, a space suit with no astronaut inside. With the introduction of the soul, the body acquires life, sight and hearing, thought and speech, intelligence and emotions, will and desire, personality and identity......To be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord, or in your case with the devil if you gave your life to him...Your outer body which is basically a shell is what your soul dwells in.

Would depend on the terms of the contract. If you sold your present soul, then your aura would change, and you would be differently effected by certain forms of magical enchantment compared to a person with a soul. But most people who sell their souls are actually selling their future souls--i.e., agreeing to relinquish their soul (which, in simple terms, is the sum of your identity that transcends your physical being) to the devil when they die.
At least, that is the approximate answer given a Judeo-Christian arcane (magical) perspective, which is usually the only one that recognizes the selling of souls.

I'm not sure what a soul is just yet. I am still trying to figure that one out. I guess it is what makes you YOU.
The way you see things. Your talents and abilities. It is like a make up of who you are. Your personality maybe...
Still trying to figure this one though. As far as selling your soul to the devil. I would be careful about that. That is what I like to call risky business. Regardless if you believe in a heaven and or a hell or not. AND regardless if you are sure of what a soul is or not.

Your soul is your spirit and life. You can not sell it to the devil. It belongs to God. After you've been given a fair chance at being a friend of God, He will decide if the devil gets your Soul or not. Best wishes.

I've heard of this.Robert Plant has confessed to doing this for rock and roll.He sang the song Stairway to heaven.He had 2 children later on.Children mysteriously died.There's a price to pay for selling your soul and getting what you want out of it.Becareful.Read about LedZeppelin and sorcery

When you sell your soul to the devil, he doesn't take it immediately. He takes it when you die, and your soul burns in hell for the rest of eternity.
Or at least that's the theory of it.
Personally I believe your soul is what makes you human, but it vanishes when you die.

When your time on earth is done and you either are going to heaven or hell.....
If you sell your soul to the devil.... I guess when you're in hell you will know what your soul is... and wish, beg, and plead that you never did it...
but ...
